When California-based Cleveland Marble was tasked with restoring the California Firefighters Memorial in Sacramento, they knew they needed to find the right chemical for the job.
The memorial unveiled in 2002 includes the names of more than 1,500 firefighters who lost their lives in the line of duty dating back nearly 175 years. The centerpiece of the memorial is a cottonwood limestone monument that became stained over the years.
Cleveland Marble contacted EaCo Chem to discuss what product would be best suited for the project. Heritage Restorer, which has also been used on the granite of the California state capital, was recommended to Cleveland Marble because of its incredible restorative powers.
Why was Heritage Restorer the answer for this particular project?
Because Heritage Restorer is a restoration detergent for historical or sensitive substrates. Cleaning power is achieved by a combination of over 25% surfactants, mild acids to melt metal, and mineral oxide residue and water-based solvents for hydrocarbon-based residues.
