Protect
Generally glass doesn’t need to be covered as long as you rinse quickly. But if glass has an aluminum frame surrounding it, a test should be done on the aluminum. Protect anodized aluminum and foliage with polyethylene or other proven protective material. Beware of wind drift onto surrounding surfaces such as auto and pedestrian traffic
Surface & Air Temperatures:
Best cleaning results are obtained when air temperatures are 40° Fahrenheit or above.
*Pre-Testing:
Always test prior to beginning full-scale cleaning operations. Testing should confirm cleaning effectiveness on each type of surface and stain designated to be cleaned. Test also to determine the desired surface contact time and any potential for adverse reactions with adjacent materials. Allow test panels to dry thoroughly before evaluating final appearance and results.
Application Instructions:
Apply the product undiluted via sprayer directly on the areas of white scum. After a few minutes do a scratch test on the surface to see if the scum is softened, if not repeat steps above. Once softened apply NMD 80 (straight to 4:1) and/or Effortless (undiluted) on top of the White Scum Presoak. This will also create a heavy white foam. White Scum is totally gone when white foaming ceases. If you see, green foam when using NMD80 there is no white scum there and you can rinse that area with a trigger sprayer, garden hose or pressure rinse off.
Dilutions:
Use White Scum straight (undiluted)
Use NMD 80 straight to 4:1 (depending on the severity of stain) and/or Effortless (undiluted) as an additional application for trace removal.
-There maybe a danger of burning the surface if the product is used repeatedly straight.
