LCS
Stripping Agent
Description and Use
LCS is a water based stripper for sealer, stain, and paint that has an extremely wide range of applications. It is virtually instantaneous in penetrating most deck stains and paints. LCS will remove multiple layers of latexes, acrylic latexes, alkyds, certain enamels, oil based stains, and other resin coatings. This stripper is not flammable, has citric odor and may cause damage on some substrates to which it would be applied. This includes bare wood, metals, asphalt shingles, vinyl siding and aluminum trim. Plants may be damaged by direct application so take care to not allow the product to contact plants when you are applying. Always test the product in an inconspicuous area before starting the job.

Preparation
Protect: Test and protect adjacent and surrounding surfaces not intended to be cleaned from exposure to the cleaning solution.
Surface & Air Temperatures
To avoid harm to masonry, do not clean when temperatures are below freezing or will be overnight. Best cleaning results are obtained when air and masonry surface temperatures are 40° Fahrenheit or above. If freezing conditions exist prior to application, allow adequate time for masonry to thaw.
Pre-Testing
Always test prior to beginning full-scale cleaning operations. Testing should confirm cleaning effectiveness on each type of surface and stain designated to be cleaned. Test also to determine the desired surface contact time and any potential for adverse reactions with adjacent materials. Allow test panels to dry thoroughly before evaluating final appearance and results.
Dilutions
Apply product undiluted unless there is a lot of wear and then product may work at 4:1.
Application Instructions
Apply LCS to a dry surface. Protect all surrounding non stripping surfaces from overspray as LCS may damage most surfaces. Allow the product to sit on the surface for 15 minutes. If wood is darkening from the stripper apply Britenol undiluted after rinsing the LCS. Start at the top and mist on water from a garden hose before pressure rinsing. If you are not going to pressure wash, scrub with a stiff bristle brush while the stripper alone is on the surface. After neutralization with the Britenol, the rinse water will be safe for plants. Protect plants from rinse if you are not neutralizing.
Coverage Rates
Coverage rates will vary from 125 - 250 sq. ft. /gal. Depending on the surface porosity, texture and severity of staining.
