HD-Degreaser
Carbon and Grease Remover
Description and Use
A sticky liquid that has excellent adhesion and cleaning ability on vertical and horizontal surfaces. HD will penetrate the most baked on crust due to a very sophisticated combination of aggressive caustics, softening penetrates, and buffering and stabilizing compounds that keep this product from drying out. This allows both fast and long term attack with minimal degradation of surfaces. This dual ability makes HD Degreaser excellent for pre-treating oil stains on concrete. Parking structures and drive through lanes benefit from presoaking the oil stains hours before cleaning as this allows the product time to get deep into the surface and work at lifting out the shadows. This product was originally developed to clean old garbage trucks before repainting and therefore is excellent at soaking through very thick layers of clay, grease, foodstuffs, and hydraulic fluid and oil stains in one application. HD Degreaser will not damage wires or hoses in engine compartments but it may mark the paint.
Advantages
*has excellent adhesion and penetrating cleaning ability on vertical and horizontal surfaces.

Preparation
*Protection: Test and protect adjacent and surrounding surfaces not intended to be cleaned from exposure to the cleaning solution.
*Surface & Air Temperatures
To avoid harm to masonry, do not clean when temperatures are below freezing or will be overnight. Best cleaning results are obtained when air and masonry surface temperatures are 40° Fahrenheit or above. If freezing conditions exist prior to application, allow adequate time for masonry to thaw.
*Pre-Testing
Always test prior to beginning full-scale cleaning operations. Testing should confirm cleaning effectiveness on each type of surface and stain designated to be cleaned. Test also to determine the desired surface contact time and any potential for adverse reactions with adjacent materials. Allow test panels to dry thoroughly before evaluating final appearance and results.
Dilutions
Apply straight with a brush or low pressure sprayer. If used in a dip tank application this product may be diluted up to 50:1.
Application Instructions
Apply straight with a brush or low pressure sprayer. Oil stains on concrete benefit from a brushing after application. The theory is that this helps drive the degreaser into the pores and lift the shadows. It may also mean that it just increases the dwell time which will benefit any product that does not dry out. If used in a dip tank application this product may be diluted up to 50:1. Allow products to soak until soil is softened. Care should be taken when immersing soft metals such as aluminum in to a hot solution that the metal is not left in the soak for too long. When cleaning badly soiled equipment for repainting it may be best to apply the product with a sprayer one time and then repeat the application in areas that look dry. This usually means that the entire product has been absorbed by the soil and another application will race in through the openings created by the first coat and allow complete release in one rinse. Pressure washer rinsing is best because it will allow complete removal of the stains in the paint.
Coverage Rates
Coverage rates will vary from 100 - 250 sq. ft. /gal depending on the surface porosity, texture and severity of staining.
