ANODIZED RESTORATION TREATMENT
Anodized Aluminum Restorer

Description and Use:
This unique chemistry is a solvent based resin system designed for treating the surface of anodized aluminum to renew the satin luster that has been damaged by environmental or chemical pollutants. A.R.T. adheres to aluminum for extended periods without cracking or peeling and is easily removed for retreatment. This easy to use product is non-hazardous and non-flammable.

Advantages:
* Renews anodized finish.
* Protects for long periods of time.

Limitations:
If A.R.T. gets on any adjoining surfaces, wipe free. Product applied too heavily will remain tacky and attract dust and airborne particles. A.R.T. should not be applied over a previously applied coating. If coated, remove it with the appropriate stripper. This system will not restore pitted anodized aluminum. Once pitting has occurred, exposing bare metal, only repainting will fix the surface. Store in a cool dry place.

Preparation

Application Information:
Before applying read "Protect" in Preparation section and "Precautionary Measures" under Safety Information.

Pre-Testing:
Always test prior to beginning full-scale cleaning operations. Testing should confirm cleaning effectiveness on each type of surface and stain designated to be cleaned. After proper cleaning of the surface with SafeRestore, apply the A.R.T. as described below. Any problems with the restoration should actually become apparent during the cleaning phase. If a white film becomes evident after cleaning this is probably a previous coating and will need to be removed using the SafeRestore or Stripsol non-hazardous paint and coating remover. If the cleaning proceeds in a normal fashion apply the A.R.T. to the desired finish. This finish is expected to remain for a year or more depending on the environment.
Dilutions:
A.R.T. is to be used straight.
Preparatory Work:
To achieve excellent results a thorough cleaning with SafeRestore is necessary before coating. The product can be misted or wiped on with a dilution of straight up to 4:1 dilution. Rubbing with a nylon scrubbing pad may be necessary if surface is badly stained then thoroughly rinse. After drying the surface should be ready for application. If an unexpected film appears it normally would indicate a failed prior coating. If re-applying SafeRestore does not remove the residue you must use the Stripsol. Mist or wipe it on and pressure rinse  off, let dry then proceed to coat with A.R.T.

Application:
After thorough preparation apply the A.R.T. with a soft lint-free cloth to the anodized. Apply an adequate amount of the A.R.T. to the cloth so that it spreads over at least one whole window or door segment but is not dripping off of the cloth. Wipe on one thin coat, wiping in one direction, do not go back over the A.R.T. until totally dry. When the cloth no longer provides adequate coverage re-wet with A.R.T.
Coverage Rates:
Minimum expected coverage per gallon is 3000 to 5000 lineal feet of anodized trim. Application to a flat surface would produce 1500 to 2000 square feet of coverage. Neatness and efficiency of the applicator can greatly affect these numbers.
Safety Information:
Precautionary Measures: Always wear goggles and rubber gloves when handling this product. Keep off of skin and clothing. If material comes in contact with clothing, wash before reuse. No Hazardous Ingredients. Not regulated by the DOT. Do not get in eyes, on skin or clothing. Keep container closed when not in use. Applicators should wear gloves and goggles.  Dispose of empty containers according to federal, state and local requirements. Do not use for any other applications other than specified. Do not remove label. Read Material Safety Data Sheet for additional safety and health hazard information prior to use.

Instructions in Case of Contact or Exposure Skin & Eye Contact:
Eyes: Flood with cool clean water for fifteen minutes. Seek medical immediate attention.
Skin: Wash off with soap and water, rinse thoroughly for fifteen minutes. If irritation persists call physician.
Inhalation: Remove to fresh air. Call physician and seek medical attention If irritation persists.
Ingestion: Do not induce vomiting. Drink lots of water. Seek immediate medical attention.
Spill or Leak Procedures:
Waste Disposal Method: Check state, local or federal regulations for your area. Steps to be taken if material is released or spilled: Large spill; dike and contain for intended use. Small spill; absorb on oil dry and place in approved container for disposal. Avoid putting material in plastic containers.
Container Handling/Storage:
Store in a cool dry place. Store away from all other chemicals and potential sources of contamination. Keep container tightly closed when not in use. Protect from contact with water. Wash thoroughly after handling. Do not store in or around plastic containers. Do not use plastic containers as transfer vessels.
