CONCRETE
New
clean-up
Tilt-up concrete can be cleaned easily with NMD80
using high dilution levels. The range will vary according to the
finish of the surface, but should be between 15:1 to 30:1. A projection
downstream nozzle may be appropriate for application. Apply a light
coat of water just to the point of run from top to bottom. Follow
with an even application of NMD80.
Very tall structures should be cleaned one whole section at a time.
Rinse from top down.
Stain removal
 |
GS Restoration will
melt rust and oil stains quickly. The product cleans concrete
with minimal etch, therefore reducing the risk of future staining.
The best application range is from straight to 40:1 on a prewet
surface. GSR can be applied with either a brush or pressure
applicator. The best use of the product is two applications
|
several
minutes apart without allowing the product to dry or rinsing between.
Degreasing
|

|
Apply
HD Degreaser straight
with a brush or low pressure sprayer. Oil stains on concrete
benefit from a brushing after application. The theory is that
this helps drive the degreaser into the pores and lift the shadows.
It may also mean that it just increases the dwell time which
will benefit any product that does not dry out. If used in a
dip tank application this product may be diluted up to 50-1.
Allow products to soak until soil is softened. Care should be
taken when immersing soft metals such as aluminum in to a hot
solution that the metal is not left in the soak for too long.
When cleaning badly soiled equipment for repainting it may be
best to apply the product with a sprayer one time and then repeat
the application in areas |
that look
dry. This usually means that all the product has been absorbed by
the soil and another application will race in through the openings
created by the first coat and allow complete release in one rinse.
Pressure washer rinsing is best because it will allow complete removal
of the stains in the paint.
Coating
Removal
The picture shown on the right is one of a project being done
in Washington DC area inside a multilevel garage. The garage
had 10 layers of poly urethane coating that needed to be removed
before the concrete was cleaned. The coating was removed with
the application of Stripsol
that was allowed to dwell and removed with a high pressure brush. |
